Become a 2025-26 UK Youth Ambassador

Are you passionate about the DofE and ensuring equal opportunities for young people from all backgrounds?

Has doing the DofE had a positive impact on you, and would you like to share your journey to inspire more young people to take part?

We believe in youth without limits – bringing communities together, sharing skills and creating opportunities. We’re dedicated to empowering young people; to support them as they overcome obstacles and build confidence and resilience.

If you would like to go further with your DofE journey and help shape the future of the Award, apply now to join our 2025-26 UK Youth Ambassador programme.

It’s important that our Youth Ambassadors represent all young people taking part in the DofE from across the UK. We welcome applications from young people from diverse backgrounds, religions, cultures, gender identities, abilities, and perspectives.

Youth Ambassador Role Description

Apply to become a 2025 - 2026 DofE UK Youth Ambassador

To start your application to become a 2025-26 UK Youth Ambassador, please fill in the application form below.

Applications will close at 5pm on Wednesday 30 April. Any applications received after this time will not be accepted.

Your ID number can be found in the top left-hand corner of your ‘My Journey’ page. On the DofE App, select the icon in the top right-hand corner. You will then see your full name, with your ID number under it.

Please ensure you have achieved a minimum of 1 Award level (Bronze / Silver / Gold) on eDofE before applying.

3) Why are you applying to be a DofE UK Youth Ambassador and what do you want to achieve in the role? (250-word limit)

5) The DofE’s External Affairs team have been asked to provide feedback on the government's new National Youth Strategy. What would you like to see prioritised to break down barriers and improve opportunities for young people in the UK, and why? (250-word limit)

6) You have been invited to represent the DofE at a high-profile event, organised by the DofE's Fundraising team. Please give a 2-3 minute speech talking about your DofE journey.

- Consider giving an overview of your Award, how and why you got involved, any highlights / challenges along the way and how the Award has impacted you.

Please record a video of yourself giving this speech.
We would recommend recording this on your phone, you can then upload the video to WeTransfer.com and click the ‘Get a link’ button.
You can then copy and paste your link into the box below and we will download your video upon receipt of your application.
Your video will only be used for the purpose of the application and will not be shared externally.

Thursday 12th June 6.30pm - 8.00pm Welcome Induction (Online)

Friday 4th July 10.30am - 4.30pm Body Talk Public Speaking Masterclass (In-Person)

BodyTalk will take place in Central London.
All transport and accommodation costs will be paid for in advance by DofE.
Additional travel support is available for anyone who requires it.
The DofE staff team will be in attendance and contactable throughout both the event and your journey.
The Youth Engagement team can write to your education provider / employer to request permission for you to attend if required.
