This is Youth: Terms and Conditions

Eligibility

1. All current DofE participants or recent Award holders (those who have achieved an Award since 1 September 2023) who are resident in the UK can be nominated for the following categories:

  • Creativity: Innovator of the Year
  • Community Impact: Change Maker of the Year
  • Resilience: Boundary Breaker of the Year
  • Teamwork: All-stars of the Year
  • Leadership: Trailblazer of the Year

Only individual young people can be nominated in the Creativity, Community Impact, Resilience and Leadership categories – nominations for more than one person in these categories will be disregarded. If more than one young person worked on a project, they should be nominated in the Teamwork category.

We are particularly keen to celebrate activity that has taken place as part of DofE programmes over the past 12 months.

2. Any adult over 18 years of age, who supports the delivery of DofE programmes for young people and is a resident of the UK can be nominated for the category “Inspirational Adult: Life Changer of the Year”. Only individuals can be nominated in the Inspirational Adult category, and nominations for more than one person will be disregarded.

3. Any adult over 18 years of age, who has supported the delivery of DofE programmes for young people for a minimum of 10 years and is a resident of the UK can be nominated for the category “Exceptional Service: Torchbearer of the Year”. Only individuals can be nominated in the Exceptional Service category, and nominations for more than one person will be disregarded.
