The One Day Film School is a practical filmmaking workshop that has enabled over 95,000 young people to make their first films since 2004.

It is now available as a 13-week online Skills activity for The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award – Bronze & Silver.

So what will you learn?

How to (safely) roundhouse punch someone in the face – and create your own punch sound effect. How to use your smartphone to shoot & edit like a pro. Make fake blood using a recipe from professional make-up artists.

Then put your filmmaking skills to the test with the 10 Shot Challenge and make your own short film with family, friends… even pets. Then pop the popcorn and roll out the red carpet for your very own World Premiere!

When you submit your 10 Shot Film for assessment by Young Film Academy, it will be entered for the prestigious 2024 10 Shot Film Awards (unless you opt out!).

The 10 Shot Film Awards judging panel is headed by Robin Kinsey, Vice President Marketing, Walt Disney Studios EMEA & UK – Marvel, Lucasfilm & 20th Century Studios.
