This skills programme is designed to help you increase your own wellbeing skills and those of other people. Over the twelve activity units you will be invited to look at what contributes to our wellbeing and what skills and habits we can build to help sustain good mental health. The online course is intended as a skills programme for Bronze and Silver DofE candidates.
The activities in the course are varied, enjoyable and work equally well for those of you who want to work in this area alone, or as part of a group. If you choose to work in a group, we suggest you should pick a regular time and place to meet together within your school or organisation.
This skills programme will take about thirteen hours to complete and we suggest that you work on this and complete it within four months, although different time frames could work and you could discuss these with your DofE leader.
There is no charge for completing this course – but everything to gain.
Once you have decided you would like to take part in the activity, you will be able to access a wide range of wellbeing resources created by Teen Tips to help you to create your final project.
On completion of the course you will receive a certificate from Teen Tips endorsing your skills. Because the resources for the “Wellbeing Skills for Life” course are all available for you on the link above, the course does not require a huge amount of supervision.
Your DofE provider will need to nominate an adult supervisor for you who could contact Teen Tips if ever necessary and notify us when you have completed your course. There are instructions for that course supervisor within the course workbook. We hope you enjoy developing your Wellbeing skills!
