Oyster Worldwide – Wildlife Conservation Experience with the Big 5

Join a team based in a Big 5 game reserve to help promote the survival of African animals and their habitat. Experience South Africa’s Big 5 and many other species as you live the safari experience every day.

What’s it all about?
You’ll be working in a beautiful game reserve helping track and monitor lions, elephants, rhino, leopards and Cape buffalo whilst doing game drives, captures and counts. An important aspect of conserving these wonderful species is maintaining their habitat, so you will be actively involved in removing alien vegetation, planting native species and doing erosion control. For each activity you will be surrounded by incredible wildlife.

When?
You can take part here throughout the year for 1 – 12 weeks.

Accommodation and Food
Accommodation is included on site, with access to wifi, games rooms, a swimming pool and tennis court. You will be divided between male and female dormitories with shared bathroom facilities.

3 meals a day are prepared for you by local cooks. The food includes meat, vegetables, rice, potatoes, pasta, curries, stir fry, fish and more.

Free Time
At weekends, participants are encouraged to explore the beautiful area. The reserve helps to arrange trips to do shark cage diving or trips to the beautiful beaches and sights on the Garden Route.

How much does it cost?

1 week costs £800. Up to 12 weeks with additional weeks at £350.
