15th – 26th September 2025 Join one of the UK’s most historic ships sailing from the Danish Limfjord back home to Lowestoft. We’ll start in Skive, a picturesque Danish harbour in the middle of the beautiful Limfjord, and then make our choices depending on the weather.
This trip is designed to develop the navigational skills of the crew, as we work together to decide, according to the forecasts and charts, the best route home to Lowestoft. Everyone on board will have the opportunity to make a passage plan, under the guidance of our qualified professionals, and grow their capacities, be it working towards an RYA certificate such as Day Skipper or Yachtmaster, or just for their own personal development.
This is an excellent mile-builder and training exercise for those looking to take their seamanship to the next level. You’ll also learn important skills such as provisioning and meal planning for a longer voyage, leadership (everyone will have the chance to lead their watch), and the planning required to take into account the quirks of a traditional rig. Enjoy night sailing, open sea, and get a feel for the life and skills of a 1920s fisherman
