This course introduces you to the craft of journalism.
It’ll provide you with the basic skills journalists are required to have when working in both news and features
Designed as a practical (and fun) introduction to journalism, you’ll learn about the different career options open to you as well as the essential skills required to be a successful journalist, from researching and writing a story to how to make contacts and conduct effective interviews.
Team-working, planning, problem-solving and communication skills will be developed whilst you learn the tricks of the trade.
During this course you will:
discover how to become a journalist and where to train
learn how to research a story and maintain your readers interest
develop skills in writing, editing and interviewing
discover how a story progresses from an idea to the printed page.
