Are you looking to go beyond your Gold DofE expedition and help train, supervise and even assess Bronze & Silver (or even Gold in a non-wild country environment) participants for their expeditions? This is the perfect opportunity for you to complete your Residential section and gain a qualification to help others and put back something into the DofE by supporting other young people though their DofE Expedition section.
You’ll develop skills and knowledge to be able to teach different aspects of expeditions and safely supervise Expedition Teams. LEL3 is a recognised qualification required by most Licensed Organisations of the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award, allowing holders to train and supervise participants for overnight DofE expeditions that take place within the environment chosen, i.e. rural, urban or restricted spaces, as indicated in the Expedition Aim & Requirements..
Minimum age: 16 to start training and minimum of 17 for certification; once qualified, indirect supervision at 17 years old; independent of supervision at 18 years old.
COST: SUBSIDISED RATE FOR DofE PARTICIPANTS – £350 (inclusive of VAT)
