Join us to complete your Gold qualifying expedition from Monday 8th – Friday 12th September 2025.

This course is for DofE Gold participants who have successfully completed the expedition training and a 2 day, 2 night practice expedition.

Bendrigg are a leading specialist outdoor centre for people with disabilities and from disadvantaged backgrounds with over 40 years of working with people of all abilities. We are ideally situated between the Yorkshire Dales and the stunning Lake District. The expedition will be fully accessible to cater for each team member’s needs and will most likely be a mixture of walking/pushing on wheelchair accessible routes & canoeing in rafted canoes in and around the Lake District.

You will be staying within our main Lodge accommodation with the option (and encouragement!) of camping in our grounds whilst on expedition. Our accessible accommodation has aids such as ceiling mounted tracking hoists, shower beds, wet rooms and profile beds.

The price is £649 per participant and £324 per carer (if required). The price includes all food, accommodation & any technical equipment used on expedition.
