This exciting residential course is aimed at equipping you with the confidence and ability to not only cater for yourself when leaving school, but to develop an enthusiasm and enjoyment for cooking. Being able to cook is a skill you’ll use throughout your life. You will spend five days and four nights away from home taking part in cooking activities with people you have never met before. Our chefs have created fantastic recipes for you to learn and recreate, with an emphasis on healthy eating, affordable cooking and how to avoid food waste. You will learn everything from basic knife skills to tricky seafood and delicious desserts on this intensive 5-day cookery course and you will eat and enjoy all the meals that you cook. A visit to a trout farm is included where we source our fish for the course as well as a visit to the local farm shop which has been growing watercress for many years. We shall discuss the goals you have achieved, how the experience was and what you have learnt. On site accommodation provided.
