I worked for the DofE in Corsham (Southwest Headquarters) with Dudley Hewitt, Louise Marquiss, Mary Harper and Jill Fulker between 2002-2007 and had the pleasure of speaking to young people doing their DofE Awards every day helping them with queries and questions and also organising their visit to the various palaces to collect their Gold Awards.
I can quite honestly say it was the best job I ever had and never thought of it as such as every day was different and fun. I feel very privileged to have had the opportunity to work for the DofE to be a small part of this wonderful life-changing opportunity for young people. Long may it continue as a fitting legacy to its Patron the Duke of Edinburgh.
