Trevor Peckham-Cooper

I am the Father of a DofE Gold Award Holder my Son Roper Hadleigh Bateman Peckham-Cooper.

My memories of the Duke where passed onto me by my son Roper Peckham Cooper who after achieving his Gold and having lost is Mother in a FRTA on the 9th December 2002 went onto achieve great things inspired by the Award.

The Award also inspired Roper to achieve the Diana Award and he is now an Ambassador for them of many years standing.

His zest for life also inspired his two sisters Nellie who is a Bronze holder and Milly to achieve a Diana Award each thus becoming one of the very few 3 Diana Award Holder Families.

He cycled solo fromLand's End' to John O' Groats for his Mothers charity the NSPCC at the age of 12 being the youngest solo rider to do this - in 11 days.

He is a Freeman of the City of London and Member of the East India Club.

His most recent adventure was to cycle solo across America for his Mothers NSPCC charity.

He I know and I cannot ever repay the Duke enough for his inspiration in setting up the Award.

At a very difficult time for all of us as a family having lost my Wife Jane and all the children their beloved Mother it was a tremendous help and a beacon of light.

God bless him. I thank him for helping me to help in turn my/Our seven children to become very useful and successful citizens.

A man amongst men. Trevor Peckham-Cooper.
