I loved my time doing DofE. My final Gold expedition was in the Atlas Mountains of Morocco.

The presentation day at Holyrood was an amazing sunny day. I was lucky enough to have a brief chat with HRH.

He asked the group where we did our final expeditions. I said Morocco. He followed this up by asking "and did you lose anybody?". I jokingly said we did try to lose one or two but sadly didn't succeed.

I remember him tilting his head back in laughter and then congratulating the group on all of our achievements in completing our DofE award and hoped we enjoyed the rest of our day.
