We lost my father 11 years ago , but he was so proud to be the first student to receive his award in Singapore where our grandfather was stationed in the army .
He had the choice of getting it there or at Buckingham palace . Unfortunately we don’t know who gave him his award .
The local Gurkhas helped him achieve his gold award .
