So when I did bronze, it was the first day and we were hungry so we sat down to eat our lunch. We were half way through when about 20 cows entered the field, they were a good 75m away from us, so we continued to eat. As we kept eating the cows started to get closer to us. We started to panics a little. And then all the cows started running down the hill straight towards us. In a panic we ran to get the the gate with our food in one hand and our extremely heavy bag in the other. My arm felt like it was going to fall off. However one of my teammates couldn’t manage to bring the bag and just about managed to get away leaving her bag in the field. The cow ran over to it and covered it in their saliva. Once the cows had calmed down, we retrieved the bag and my teammate had to deal with cow saliva over her bag for the rest of the expedition.
