DofE has always been a part of my life. From helping my parents run weekends and doing all three awards myself, I then went on to become a leader and an assessor at Bronze, silver and Gold. I have managed to visit Saint James’ Palace a couple of times to both get my gold award and then to help with another generation receiving theirs. And I was also lucky enough to visit Buckingham palace with my sister when she received her Gold award. DofE has taught me many skills and has broadened my confidence tremendously. It’s a big part of who I am and my love for the outdoors has grown as a result. I have met lots of new people and created memories that will last a life time, all thanks to the award scheme.
