I loved doing my DofE Gold award despite between us the team suffered a twisted knee, huge blisters, none stop rain on the second day and also getting lost on our last day! I met some amazing people and am still friends with some of them over 10 years later. I have been lucky enough to have signed off a few young people's physical and volunteering sections through my day job which gives me just as much pride as when I completed my own. I am incredibly proud of my award and I feel very lucky to have had the opportunity to have done it and for that I will always be grateful to the Duke of Edinburgh and all those involved in the scheme.
