DofE was and is and incredible way to get out there in the world, appreciate everything around you, and create memories and experiences to last a lifetime. For me, I already was partaking in the skills and physical sections, yet the DofE helped me to set goals to achieve, and motivated me to continue to strive. The expedition, as many would agree, was one of the most fun times of my life so far. It was Sunny, raining, cold, and muddy, but something I would do time and time again. The memories I made with my group and others were simply golden, and I give it to the organisation for providing the opportunity for such experiences in the wild, to make young children like myself, who have grown up in the hectic city, to touch base back with nature, and most importantly with each other, without a distracting device in sight! Thank you so much HRH Prince Philip for the opportunity and I hope you rest in peace.
