I received my gold award in 2017. It was Prince Philip's last official engagement in Northern Ireland. As Prince Philip was leaving after speaking to all the recipients he stop to speak to my mum as he notice she was in a wheel chair and had an oxygen bottle with her. My mum even made the evening news as the reported wanted to know what he was saying to her.

During the ceremony Prince Philip was very engaging with everyone, including family members. He was extremely witty throughout his time there.
