Loved being part of our DofE group at school. Special friendships formed and great teachers that led. Inspired me to go into teaching myself. My interview to get into The College of St. Paul’s and St. Mary’s Cheltenham in 1984 was dominated by discussions about what I had done to achieve my Gold DofE. I always felt it was the difference they were looking for to get my offer of a place. I’ve now taught for over 30 years and ranged from nursery children to post grad students training to be teachers!
