Sarah Kerr

I cannot speak highly enough of the Duke of Edinburgh Award. I work at a school which deeply embraces the Award from S3 pupils completing their Bronze level through to S6 pupils accomplishing Gold. I have had the pleasure of completing expeditions at the Pentland Hills, Edinburgh and watching young people thoroughly enjoy being in a different setting from school, work together to set up camp, learning how to cook outdoors, and enjoying nature. It is some of my fondest memories of working with young people. I hope when my daughters are old enough, they will have the chance to take part in the Duke of Edinburgh Award.
