My son is currently undertaking his Bonze award. He has been waiting for 2 years to be old enough and is excited about his journey. The DofE award is very important to Ozzy as being a Scout he has seen his fellow Scouts taking part.
I am a Beaver leader and have 3 DofE young people deciding to do their volunteer section with us. It is wonderful to be able to help and guide them on their journey and see how it changes them and especially how their confidence grows. 2 of them have stayed with us and are now on the Scouts young leader programme.
My other son, Austin who is 11 years old is also looking forward to starting his DofE when old enough.
