The DofE was an incredible chance for me. I was able to learn how useful it was to rely on others instead of doing things independently-not to say being independent is a bad but then sometimes relying on others isn't bad either. It was a fantastic opportunity and it's with a saddened heart that he went to his maker, regardless his memory still lives on and I hope young teenagers will continue to enjoy such wonderful experiences with the DofE award.
