Working towards my Gold DofE has shaped my life for the better in so many ways. It has pushed me out of my comfort zone while allowing me to experience things I never thought I would do, such as my residential sailing around the West coast of Scotland for a week and visiting the remote island of St. Kilda. This was an amazing experience, however, meeting my now girlfriend of 4 years on the expedition was probably the best thing that has ever happened to me. I cherish the memories of my DofE experiences and cannot thank the whole DofE team and my leaders enough for their effort. Most importantly HRH Prince Philip for helping to inspire us all to do better and get out there, giving us a true meaning for the award.
