Having the ability to get out of a classroom, have fun with people I knew and build relationships with those I did not already know was invaluable. In completing all levels of my DofE, I was able to take on tasks I had never completed before, it kept me determined on a goal and built character definitely. I think it’s a brilliant think for teenagers to do, as it puts you out of your comfort zone massively but is hugely rewarding in life experience. The Patron of DofE, the Duke of Edinburgh, will be sorely missed for creating such a rewarding and fulfilling scheme.
