I have such fond memories of DofE, it was 100% down my street - from the camping, to the hiking, to the countryside views. Utter bliss!! I loved the way we were all in it together, all mucky together - and even tho there were times when it was freezing and pelting it down, you just find that team spirit to keep going. Ahh I have so many funny stories that I cherish - from Sinty getting stuck in the mud, to Sam Sykes' infamous 'don't just stand there, do something', to our fiesty cow encounter, to the tents blowing away - just thinking about DofE now, brings back such good memories - and such a range of memories too - from sunny farm life, to mountains, to lakes ! I was lucky enough to do all 3 expedition levels and the scenery got more beautiful each time - honestly wish I could do it all again! Such a surreal experience to be in the middle of nowhere, high up on a mountain range, with your friends - it's just so different to anything I'm used to. Each expedition just felt like u were entering another world - so much beauty in the UK. I'm honestly the biggest fan of DofE and so so grateful that Prince Philip set this up. May he rest in peace.
