Doing my Gold DofE was one of the best experiences I had in my last years of school. Our practice expedition was definitely one to remember!! On our second day it snowed so heavily that you'd never have known it was April in the Brecon Beacons! There was a white out on our mountain route and we had to take a much longer walk instead. It continued to snow and rain until our campsite was almost flooded and we had to set up camp in a lambing shelter! We shared our shelter with the farmer's sheep which was an experience I'll never forget! Gold and Bronze DofE were great group experiences where we definitely learnt some resilience and had a lot of fun on the way!!
