By taking part in the DofE I found my love for camping!
I had always been fond of the outdoors and nature due to visiting the Lake District for many years with family, but with this challenge I had to rely on my own instincts and knowledge.
I found friendships with people that I wouldn't have normally spoke to due to confidence.

One time during our camping, we were woken up to a peacock shrieking next to our tent so that was enough to get you on your feet in super fast ime haha.
Another time, our tent flooded due to an awful rainstorm so we spent the night sitting on top of our rucksacks inside the tent just chatting away eating chocolate spread sandwiches!!

I loved every minute of taking part in these awards and would advise everyone to do this!!!
