Unfortunately, last year I was unable to complete my Bronze DofE as the expedition was cancelled during COVID. However I was able to for fill all my strands and gain the Achievement Certificate at the end of the year. This year I wanted to go for Silver as I missed out on the full experience and I’m glad I did. Our practice expeditions isn’t go to plan and we got lost half way through, from straggling through a bog and running away from a heard of sheep, we seemed to be heading further away from the destination. 2 hours later we managed to find the mistake and head back home. This was an exiting experience as it added a sense of adventure and fun with my friends as well as teaching us how to people use a map. I can’t wait to do my qualifier ever though it won’t be the exact same as it is locally.
