My memory relates to the Diamond Award challenge which ran for the DofE anniversary year about 5 years ago.
It was a challenge for adult volunteers, leaders, parents, and anyone who always fancied the idea of the DofE's Award, but had not had the chance, or were not involved, when they were under 25 themselves.
It was one of the most inspiring times for me as a DofE leader, and I loved the promotional videos and posters which were produced to help engage and encourage more adults to join the adventure, and raise funds along the way!

I would be really pleased if we could run this adult challenge again to mark our founder's passing and to honour the incredible way this Award scheme has changed lives all over the world.
Working with young people who will hesitate to enrol because of fears of the costs involved, I think it would be fitting to include some fundraising for expedition costs so that we can truly say the game-changing benefits of the scheme are open to all.
