I completed my Bronze and Silver DofE when I was at school. I was unable to complete my Gold due to an injury but went on to lead the DofE in the school I currently work in for 6 years, helping somewhere in the region of 600 young people achieve a DofE award at various levels. To me the DofE award is a tremendous achievement and something I will always hold dear to my heart. It opens doors for young people and provides opportunities that no other can. I hope that the award can continue to provide for as many young people for years to come.
