Having worked through bronze, silver and gold I have many great memories from working in Oxfam to learning to trampoline, improving my cooking skills and learning about the 4-stroke engine.

My favourite parts were the expeditions. Attempting to put up tents, singing whilst we walked. Cooking our dried food and great comradeship.

Most memorably getting lost in the Lake District in thick cloud during my gold expedition. We thought we would fail but thanks to the support of the Eskdale Outward Bound centre and the grit and determination of my team we carried on and celebrated our success.

I reflect back on the experience fondly and passionately and am excited that my eldest daughter, 14yrs, is about to embark on her dofe journey.
