I was very lucky to meet Prince Philip at Gold Award Presentations. He was always so passionate about young people’s achievements and where their DofE Award was taking them in life. Without exception DofE participants, their parents and guests loved the experience of meeting him. He was always memorable. I remember one time he left the room a participant shouting ‘He is SO COOL!’ Pretty impressive for a nonagenarian (I had to look that one up). An incredible legacy. He will be sorely missed.
