I was lucky to have the opportunity to complete the Bronze, Silver and Gold Awards via my school and build skills which have stayed with me. I received my Gold Award at Buckingham Palace with the Duke in attendance. I remember it with pride and almost 30 years on to the day I witnessed my daughter receive her Gold Award from Prince Edward, Duke of Wessex at St James Palace. Such a proud moment which brought back fond memories.
