I started my award a short time after girls were able to take part. As my service section was volunteering in a Bristol City Council youth centre. I later became a youth worker a career that spanned 48 years. I was also a D of E development worker for Bristol Youth Service and the industrial Award . There were so many great young people that completed the award in the groups I was involved with. I also had some incredible volunteers.
