I grew up in a council house and went to a secondary modern school. I was encouraged to do the award which I loved we did a service. First aid camping make up and orienteering. It gave ma love for the outdoors and sport. I also did a project on the history of Ballet. Which I love to this day.
It greatly shaped my adult life. It wasn’t just for the privileged as I’ve heard on TV. I feel it has given me a great rounding of my life with huge opportunities and confidence in my job as retail manager at a museum. I will always be grateful to the Duke for giving us this opportunity He was a very inspiring man RIP Duke of Edinburgh.
