I’m now doing my Gold DofE, yet have so many great memories of my previous adventures. I did my Bronze award with my school and it was great fun, a way to truly bring friends together - and even better with no technology to distract you. It makes you grateful for what and who you have. We all came up with nicknames for each other on our expedition and worked really well as a team. Although (due to the pandemic) we weren’t able to camp overnight, it’s definitely something to remember. The DofE award is something that inspires hope and balances the key elements of life; fitness; knowledge and selflessness.
