We did our Duke of Edinburgh Award expedition on one of the hottest days of the year and when we arrived at our camp site the grass looked like hay. Unfortunately my drink had leaked in my bag and all over my sleeping bag, I took it out of my bag and five minutes later it was completely dry! Everyone had a great time playing games and cooking when we arrived. Once you’ve completed the award you really feel a sense of accomplishment. D of E is one of the best experiences of my life and it’s one that I will never forget. I would like to thank the Duke of Edinburgh for creating such a great scheme for young people as a way to get out there and achieve something.
