I did my Gold D of E as direct entry, having no experience at all before. Our expeditions were completed in Wales, the Brecon Beacons and qualifier in Snowdonia. I had such a great experience with my team and now so many memories. Due to covid, my volunteering residential has been cancelled and changed twice, but I will be completing my award this summer. In the future I would like to go on more walking and hiking holidays, and just spend more time in the Great Outdoors in general!
