Long long ago....I took part in DofE at school. I loved the service part - my sister and I used to go and clean for an old lady down the road every Saturday morning - chatting and helping someone we didn’t know....something all young people should experience. Of course, the best bit was the expeditions. Months of planning culminated in a trek where you either fried in the sun or got soaked in the rain. Happy memories of the freedom that gave us at a young age.
