The Duke of Edinburgh Award solidified and tested many friendships for me, many that still stand strong today. It pushed me out of my comfort zone and confidence level, and threw me in at the deep end in the hopes of making a stronger and more responsible person. From volunteering locally to enrich the community of those less fortunate, to excelling at a sporting skill, and finally collaborating and supporting one another in the group expedition, I am proud to say the life's work of Prince Philip Duke of Edinburgh has truly paid off and been an honour to take part in. His memory and contribution to helping the lives of so many youngsters will live on forever and will remain a memory and piece of my heart I will never forget and treasure each day.
