I did my bronze award two/three years ago and I remember the practice attempt for my group went absolutely awful! We were probably one of the last groups to arrive at the campsite, had to get a lift partly as we were in the complete wrong area and didn't have long until it would start to get late, we ended up merging with another group from our school... and still got lost! We then did our real bronze expedition and ended up being the first group to arrive at the campsite and even beat our teachers to one of the checkpoints! It was such a blast doing the bronze and my favourite part has got to be at the campsite, sitting around with my friends, playing a game of cards and attempting to put up a tent successfully.

I'm now currently doing my Gold award because I found bronze so incredibly amazing. Counting down the days till the practice expedition - one week to go! And praying that I'll be able to do my real Gold expedition in summer in Wales!

Thank you Prince Philip for establishing this amazing opportunity and giving so many young people the chance to have fun outdoors!
