This is a photo of me in 1987 collecting my Gold Award at St James's Palace - fast forward 34 years and I have been proudly working for the DofE for the last 7 years. I was lucky enough to meet HRH The Duke of Edinburgh on several occasions, it was clear that he was passionate about how the Award empowered young people and transformed their lives. He has left a remarkable legacy.
