My DofE Expedition was an excellent experience and opportunity, that I benefitted and gained from to a great extent. Myself and my three peers learnt to work well as a team and developed good comradery. I relished the opportunity to lead the group on the lengthily walks and to navigate when needed. I always looked to praise and motivate the team, to keep good morale.
I very much enjoyed the landscapes, fresh natural air and wildlife, on Okehampton and Dartmoor finishing at saltrum house and gardens.
The camping element of the experience was also beneficial, in regards to experiencing putting up and sleeping in a tent, cooking on a tranja and adapting to the facilities provided.

What I gained from the independence, leading, teamwork, fun and the journey, was very valuable and will hopefully contribute to obtaining a job in the future.
