I got my Gold Award in in 1996 at the age of 20 after doing my expedition and community service in Ireland, as well as cycling and being a leader in the girl guides association and what not. I did such much with such energy and enthusiasm. It was the best time of my life. We laughed so much and made new friends and kept on learning. When I presented my letters of credentials as Malta's first Ambassador to the United Arab Emirates last November, I proudly wore my Gold Award on my coat. Pls see photo.
