Did my gold through uni (bronze and silver through GGA). Expedition was on the isle of Arron and we became an amazing team who achieved more than anyone thought possible. We had all weathers (literally) and my boots failed spectacularly but we still completed it expedition. The feeling of achievement was amazing as without incredibly teamwork the outcome may have been very difficult.
At a job interview I was asked which I valued more, my degree or my D of E ... there was no contest.
Now I am the parent of a bronze holder who has just started silver. He had a rough start in life (dad died when he was 4) and watching him grow in confidence and achieve things he didn’t think he could has been the proudest moment so far
