The picture I have uploaded is such a happy memory for me. It was taken during my residential week at Ardwhallen on the Isle of Man.
We had been out on the water all afternoon on paddleboards and kayaks, it was such a laugh!
I really enjoyed our expedition too, although, on the second day, it rained so much, we had to dry all of our clothes by the campfire that night, underwear included :-)
I didn't really know too much about the Duke of Edinburgh as a person, until after his death last week.
I have learned so much since about his life, in the news, and realise what an incredible person he was and what a full life he lived.
I am honoured to have received my gold badge the day before his funeral.
