I am deeply saddened to learn about the passing of HRH Duke of Edinburgh Prince Philip. My condolences are with the Royal Family at this time. I would like to take a moment to thank the Duke of Edinburgh for founding the DofE scheme, which has transformed the lives of many within the UK and across the world. The DofE scheme has provided a unique opportunity to explore the outdoors, learn new skills, engage in volunteering, and form new bonds with people which I will cherish for the rest of my life. My participation in DofE so far to Silver Level has already given me skills and learning which is separate from my academic and co-curricular activities, which is invaluable. He has had a monumental legacy on the world and continues to do so, and his spirit will continue to remain in my heart. Our country is in debt to you for the tremendous work that you have initiated across your lifetime, and we will ensure that we continue the work that you have started. Thank you for revolutionising millions of lives around the world. Rest in peace.
