I became involved in DofE as a helper, when my Son started his Gold Award in 2016. I enjoyed the experience so much I have since gone on to become a DofE leader at my explorer unit, and have just undertook a Expedition Supervisor course. I enjoy helping young people achieve and believe in themselves. I enjoy seeing the sense of achievement when they finish their expedition and how the experience moulds them into independent and resilient young people and makes the ready for the challenges of adulthood comes their way. I feel proud to be a part of DonE and thank HRH for starting the award all those years ago.
