Louis Studds

When I first got the chance to participate in my Bronze DofE i immediately took up the offer. I felt a mix of emotions but my end goal was to come out happier and to be more confident when it came to making new friends and taking leadership in group activities. Upon taking part in the practise DofE and then the real expedition I quickly saw how much more confident I was, I wasn’t scared to lead and I wasn’t afraid to muck in and help whenever needed.
All of this has further developed my ability to make friends when I entered sixth form and created a long lasting sense of confidence which I know will continue when I enter University. I no longer felt lonely at school anymore.

Bronze DofE brought me laughs and made me respect Britains natural beauty and whilst I know Gold DofE would have enhanced this if not for the pandemic I know I would have enjoyed it. So thank you for HRH Duke of Edinburgh for forming this award :)

Rest in Peace ?
